This year Dance/USA commemorates 30 years of leadership and service to the national dance community through convenings, research, advocacy, and career development. We thank our members and the field for their support and look forward to an exciting future for dance. 2012 Dance/USA Annual
Conference
For 2012, Dance/USA returned to San Francisco – home of its first annual convening 28 years ago. The conference brought together
over 500 members of the national dance community making it one of our largest
convenings to date, with attendees from 34 states and six countries. We
introduced a vital new approach to the conference format - moving
sessions out of a central hotel and into dance venues in the community. We
also put more focus on dance with a mid-day showcase. We are pleased our
constituents found that the changes brought sought-after solutions and
prompted innovative and thoughtful discussions.
