Ballet des Amériques is looking for classically trained male dancers for its professional dance company. Candidates should also be comfortable with neoclassical, contemporary and modern techniques and works. Knowledge of African and Afro-Caribbean dance styles would be advantageous.
Ballet des Amériques engages dancers who grasp and appreciate the pedagogical, aesthetic and ethical principles of its organization as whole and who are willing to commit to their realization in the dance company.

Gibney Dance Company is seeking extraordinary dancers with strong professional experience.
In addition to actively collaborating on the development and performance of new work and guest repertory, company members perform, teach, and serve as social justice advocates. Specific responsibilities include: international residencies; an active performance schedule including annual multi-week NYC seasons; facilitation of Community Action movement workshops with violence survivors; social justice advocacy teaching and advising in the Gibney Dance’s Professional Training and International Visa Programs; and administrative mentorships.

Jillian Peña is seeking twenty male and female dancers (approximate age-range of 14-25) to participate in “Polly Pocket: Expansion Pack” which will be presented on September 11 and 12, 2015. Taking inspiration from ballet, psychoanalysis, queer theory, and Marxism, Polly Pocket is an epic dance drama in which viewers glimpse a trio in their own private world.
Selected dancers will appear on stage with a simple movement and vocal score. Two of the selected twenty dancers will hold a slightly larger role in the work. All twenty dancers will be paid a $100 honorarium each. Interested dancers should have a strong classical technique, ability to use their voices, and be available for all rehearsals.

L.A. Contemporary Dance Company (LACDC) welcomes artists who are interested in developing a relationship with LACDC to create innovative dance experiences in L.A. A strong foundation in contemporary / modern / jazz technique with extensive improvisation and partnering experience is recommended.
