CONTRA-TIEMPO Futuro Jr. Dance Company is the training ground for the professional touring company. The Jr. company is directed by Jasmine Burgos, who toured nationally and internationally with the professional company for over 6 years. The dancers will learn company repertoire and train in the styles that make up CONTRA-TIEMPO's signature Urban Latin Dance Theater aesthetic (Salsa, House, Afro-Cuban, various forms of Hip Hop, modern and contemporary and improvisation). The dancers will also be invited to weekly professional development opportunities with the professional company and will have regular opportunities to perform. This is not a paid position, but an opportunity for training and development under the company. Many of the current and past company members began working with the company through CONTRA-TIEMPO Futuro. It is a year long commitment/opportunity.

The Dancing Wheels Company, a professional, physically integrated dance company, is currently seeking to hire a qualified male dancer for an immediate position. Dancing Wheels is a national touring company that works with highly acclaimed choreographers each year. Most recent works include full-length pieces from Donald McKayle, Dianne McIntyre, Nai-Ni Chen, Christopher Fleming, Michael Uthoff, Peter Kalivis, and David Rousseve.
The preferred candidate should be proficient in ballet, modern, and partnering. Experience and training is required, and candidate must be able to work full-time and tour throughout the nation. Pay scale is commensurate with experience; paid holidays and vacation time are included.

Full Radius Dance (FRD) is holding auditions for male/female dancers with and without physical disabilities. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to work within a collaborative environment; follow directions and apply corrections; show respect for the rehearsal process, for fellow dancers and the artistic director; and demonstrate good body awareness and, if used, chair control. FRD recognizes that dance training opportunities for persons with physical disabilities are extremely limited. Therefore, for dancers with disabilities, no previous dance experience is necessary. Dancers without physical disabilities should have a professional level of modern dance technique. Rehearsals and performances are paid.

Jillian Peña is seeking twenty male and female dancers (approximate age-range of 14-25) to participate in “Polly Pocket: Expansion Pack” which will be presented on September 11 and 12, 2015. Taking inspiration from ballet, psychoanalysis, queer theory, and Marxism, Polly Pocket is an epic dance drama in which viewers glimpse a trio in their own private world.
Selected dancers will appear on stage with a simple movement and vocal score. Two of the selected twenty dancers will hold a slightly larger role in the work. All twenty dancers will be paid a $100 honorarium each. Interested dancers should have a strong classical technique, ability to use their voices, and be available for all rehearsals.

Katharine Hawthorne seeks dancers interested in becoming involved in her upcoming production Mainframe, which asks how computers have changed the way we see our bodies. The working process is highly collaborative, physical, and playful. Rehearsals begin October 28, 2015, in San Francisco, with performances at ODC Theater. Rehearsals and performances are paid. Auditions will be by invitation only. Please send a brief letter introducing yourself and a link to dance footage via email. Performers based outside of San Francisco will be considered if they are able to commit to the full rehearsal process.
