Performing Arts Alliance

The Performing Arts Alliance is a national network of more than 4,100 members comprising the professional, nonprofit performing arts and presenting fields. For 30 years, the Performing Arts Alliance has been the premiere advocate for America's professional nonprofit arts organizations, artists and their publics before the US Congress and key policy makers. Through legislative and grassroots action, the Performing Arts Alliance advocates for national policies that recognize, enhance and foster the contributions the performing arts make to America.

The Performing Arts Alliance represents the interests of the dance field by advocating for:

1) Increased federal funding for the arts
2) Timely visa processing for foreign artists
3) Federal support for arts education
4) Disaster recovery assistance for performing arts organizations
5) Favorable tax treatment of nonprofit arts organizations and charitable contributions
6) Other issues that impact the performing arts

Member organizations of the Performing Arts Alliance include: Dance/USA, League of American Orchestras, Association of Performing Arts Presenters, OPERA America, and Theatre Communications Group. Member organizations include: Chorus America and National Alliance for Musical Theatre
