Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival seeks Winter/Spring (non-Festival) interns.
These internships are flexible, customized educational experiences, tailored to meet individual professional goals, interests, hours, and duration. Interns during the off-season assist in the work required to plan and execute the annual Festival, as well as education, preservation, and audience engagement programs. Winter/Spring interns work alongside professional staff and gain hands-on work experience.
Summer Festival Internships
Internships are available in education, artist services, marketing, fundraising, and other areas.
Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival seeks Summer Festival interns.
Summer (Festival) internships are part of a structured program for 33 interns from around the world, working in dance production, education, marketing, fundraising, documentation and other areas. Summer interns at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival join a team of arts professionals and assist with projects pertaining to the Festival, The School at Jacob’s Pillow, the Archives, and Community Programs. All internships offer the training, mentorship, and professional experience necessary for a career in arts administration or production. While the internship is based within one department, participants will get a broad overview of the overall workings of the company through involvement with various special projects and events. Interns will gain in-depth experience and will learn how various departments work together to achieve the organization's goals. Interns will also gain nonprofit administrative experience which can include: basic budgeting, project management, business writing, customer service, and introductory database training.

Stephen Petronio Company seeks interns to assist with administrative tasks related to marketing, development, and special events. Interns have the unique opportunity to learn the operations of a non-profit performing arts organization, working closely with a small staff.
General Internship Requirements:
Stephen Petronio Company also offers Specialized Internships for applicants with excellent writing skills and interest in learning hands-on about fundraising, donor cultivation, and development. Previous experience in arts administration, grant writing, marketing, or event production highly desirable.
Internships are unpaid, with flexible hours/schedule, and a minimum commitment of three months. (For Specialized Internships, our preference is for interns available 2-3 days/wk, approx. 5 hours/day). Interns will be able to visit company rehearsal and attend company classes. College credits can be arranged.
