Washington, DC – Dance/USA, the national service organization for professional dance, announced today that registration for the 2020 Annual Conference is open. Dance professionals will gather in Denver, CO June 17-20 for stimulating training, innovative approaches to shared problems, invaluable networking opportunities, performances, movement classes, and the Dance/USA 2020 awards. Conference programming will include breakout sessions and workshops that explore issues of equity, disability, community, social change, dance presenting, archiving and preservation, co-productions, fundraising, wellness, and business sustainability. “Denver is an exciting dance community,” said Dance/USA Executive Director Amy Fitterer. “We look forward to connecting with all of our colleagues this June to learn from each other and gain new ideas.”
More than 500 dance professionals – including independent artists, executive directors, artistic directors, company managers, education and service providers, dance presenters, agents and artist representatives, fundraisers, development and marketing staff, and more – will attend the Conference, which will take place campus style, with events occurring around Denver to showcase the host city’s arts and dance ecosystem.
