Washington, DC – Dance/USA, the national service organization for dance, is excited to announce the 2023 Virtual Conference: Extend. This new slate of virtual programming is an extension of Dance/USA’s national Conference which took place this past June in Atlanta, Georgia. We spent four action-packed days emerging, becoming and moving with and for the dance ecosystem. Now it is time to continue the work! Dance/USA invites creative workers to learn, grow, and connect with us this fall. Virtual Conference: Extend programming will include new sessions featuring leaders in the dance ecosystem sharing insights and actionable lessons on fieldwide topics as well as memorable and inspiring keynote speeches from the national Conference in Atlanta.
Join us on Wednesday October 18, 2023 for the official launch day of the virtual programming.
Registrants will be able to navigate the content at their own pace in a fully asynchronous experience. To celebrate, we will offer free, virtual kick-off events. Registration for the Virtual Conference: Extend opens September 19.
“The Dance/USA Conference is a not-to-be missed opportunity for fellowship and learning.” – Dance/USA 2023 Conference attendee and member Sydnie Liggett-Dennis, Executive Director of A.I.M by Kyle Abraham.
The 2023 Virtual Conference: Extend sessions feature topics suited for everyone, from early career to established executive leaders and artists. Session topics include intimacy choreography, disability culture, intergenerational leadership, succession planning, progressive wellness and more!
Access to the 2023 Virtual Conference: Extend sessions will be available through three pricing options designed to fit the budget of organizations and working artists from across the dance ecosystem.
Dance/USA members are eligible for a special member discount, which will be shared in our member newsletter The SPIN.
