Washington, DC - Dance/USA, the national service organization for professional dance, is pleased to release a new strategic plan.
Looking to the future and considering the impact Dance/USA would like to have on the world, Dance/USA has developed a new strategic plan and has adopted a vision, mission, values, and priorities that reflect the organization’s current focus and future goals. Dance/USA envisions a more just and inclusive dance field and we are committed to embedding equity and justice throughout our organization.
“For the past several years, we have been evolving to become a more welcoming organization to the wider dance field,” said Dance/USA Executive Director Amy Fitterer. “This plan will take us further down the road and help us to do the deep work that must be done, internally and externally, in order for us to be a relevant and sustainable organization.
Propelled by our belief that dance can inspire a more just and humane world, Dance/USA will amplify the power of dance to inform and inspire a nation where creativity and the field thrive.
