Jane D’Angelo, Council Chair - Service Organizations

Jane D’Angelo has served as the OhioDance Executive Director since 2003. D’Angelo is a Board Member of Ohio Citizens for the Arts and Dance/USA, serving as the Service Organization’s Council Chair, and a partner in the newly formed Collaborative for Arts Education in Ohio. She is the project director for the National Endowment for the Arts and Ohio Arts Council funded project: The Ohio Dance Virtual Dance Collection: Statewide/State-of-the-Art Dance History Research for the Public Domain. D’Angelo was a key partner in The Ohio Department of Education initiative to develop a resource and service guide for students gifted in visual and performing arts. She participated in the executive fellowship program in the Academy for Leadership and Governance at the Jefferson Center, Columbus. She is a regular guest speaker at the Ohio State University Department of Dance. D’Angelo has served as a panelist for Culture Works, the united arts fund and arts service agency for the Greater Dayton region, and has adjudicated for a variety of organizations. D’Angelo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard University. She has an extensive background in dance and dance education, both performing and teaching dance to children and adults throughout the Boston area.
