Raechel Hofsteadter (she/her) is the Director of Advancement at Dance/USA.
Raechel has over ten years of experience as an arts administrator, specializing in fundraising and development operations. Most recently, Raechel served as the Director of Development at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance (Chicago, IL) where she led the organization’s sponsorship, major giving, and annual fund efforts.
Previously, she worked in administrative roles at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, and Chicago Dancing Festival.
Raechel earned bachelor’s degrees in dance with honors and health & human physiology as well as a certificate in entrepreneurship in the performing arts from the University of Iowa. She also holds a master’s in arts degree in performance arts curation from the Institute in Curatorial Practice in Performance at Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT). Her research centers on decolinizing curatorial practice situated at the intersection of archiving, embodied practice, and black studies.
Prior to her full-time arts administration career, Raechel danced professionally in Chicago where she still works and lives with her husband and daughter.
